Bell Book & Candle Restaurant in the West Village

For those who really try to eat locally and green it can be difficult at times.  Luckily, many of the newest restaurants in New York City are getting on board with this trend and for good reason.  Using local ingredients helps reduce the carbon footprint and supports our local economy.  Bell Book & Candle is taking it one step further but growing their own rooftop produce.  You can't get any fresher than that.
You could easily walk by this inconspicuous restaurant but you'd be missing out on a truly unique experience.  It's located in a basement level space on a quite block.  Once inside your see how elegant the space is.
The menu is well edited and there are some standout items such as the warm pretzels, rooftop mixed green salad, suckling pig, and "gin & tonic" wild salmon.  Do your part and help support your local restaurant now!
