Imperial No. 9 at The Mondrian Soho

Glamour is the word when you're talking about Imperial No. 9 at NYC's Mondrian Soho hotel.  This restaurant is chic for the downtown set.  They serve sustainable food which is a big plus in my book.  The menu consists of mostly seafood done in non-traditional ways such as the slow cooked octopus with jalapeno soffrito and lime soy.  The chef at the helm was once on Top Chef (Sam Talbot).  What really impresses me is the luxurious ambiance. Anyplace with lots of mirrored furniture and chandeliers is a place I want to dine.  mondriansoho.com
